The CSconnected website contains links to other websites that are not operated by us. This privacy policy only applies to the personal information that we collect or which we receive from third party sources, and we cannot be responsible for personal information about you that is collected and stored by third parties. Third party websites have their own terms and conditions and privacy policies, and you should read these carefully before you submit any personal information to these websites.

Social Media

When you contact us using private or direct messages via social media, i.e. Twitter and LinkedIn, your contact details and the contents of the message will be stored by the service provider and we may store the content of the message within our internal systems either in part or in full.

We may also analysis messages and monitor social media sites for sentiment and engagement analysis.

Events

As part of CSconnected remit we host online and offline events and workshops. We use two third party companies that allow us to manage our events data. In order to provide the relevant and necessary details to our event attendees both pre and post event, we also use Mailchimp, Hopin, Eventbrite and Wufoo. This information is provided in each of our event pages and an option to opt in is required – once consent is gathered, recipients are free to opt out at any point.

Due to the nature of our business, CSconnected regularly collaborates on events with organisations within the enabling technology sector. As a result of this, relevant attendee event data will be shared with our collaborators – consent from attendees is also required for this and is gathered at the point of attendees registering for events.

CSconnected may record and/or photograph events for live streaming online or repurposing in digital on our website and our Social Media.

We will seek consent in advance to provide the lawful basis for processing data, and at all times, will provide clear instruction on how you can opt-out of any photography or filming.
In return for access to the event, you consent to any such filming, photography and/or live streaming and to CSconnected in reproducing and publishing your words and/or likeness in any transcript of or publication relating to the event.

Photos and recordings contain personal data and will be protected and disposed of securely in accordance with data protection legislation.
If at any point you wish to withdraw your consent or request that CSconnected stops using your images/ records, please write to info@csconnected.

Children

Our website and services are not aimed specifically at children because we are a membership organisation for supporting business and accordingly, we do not collect data in relation to children.

Marketing

  • Related activities and events

We may use your Identity, Contact and Usage Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing).

You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from or if you provided us with your details when you entered a competition or registered for a promotion and, in each case, you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.

We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any company for marketing purposes.

How long will you use my personal data for?

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

By the laws of England and Wales we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes. We also use the data to respond to complaints about our services and for audit purposes.

What are your data protection rights?

CSconnected would like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request CSconnected provide copies of your data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that CSconnected corrects any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request CSconnected to complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that CSconnected erases your personal data, under certain conditions
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that CSconnected suspends the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the data's accuracy; (b) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it; (c) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (d) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that CSconnected transfers the data that we have collected to another organisation.
