Howard Rupprecht appointed Managing Director of CSconnected Ltd

09th May 2024

Cardiff, 9 May 2024. Howard Rupprecht will take over as Managing Director of CSconnected Ltd. with effect from 01 June 2024. Howard will take over from Chris Meadows who has led CSconnected Ltd since its formation in 2017. Chris will continue to support a number of committed activities during the remainder of the year and will remain on the CSconnected Ltd Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Howard has been working as a director of CSconnected since January; he brings a wealth of semiconductor industry and business development experience from both the public and private sectors. Howard stated: “I would like to thank Chris for his relentless efforts in developing CSconnected and ultimately building a strong and highly recognized global brand for the Welsh Compound Semiconductor Cluster. It’s good to be building on such a solid foundation as the team introduces new initiatives to support future cluster growth”.

Professor Wyn Meredith, Chair of CSconnected, commented ‘We are entering a new phase of expansion of the South Wales Semiconductor Cluster driven by the rapid growth our industrial partners and a global semiconductor industry forecast to surpass $1T per annum by 2030.  Howard’s appointment heralds an expansion of the CSconnected team to support the Welsh position in UK semiconductor initiatives such as the £160M South Wales Investment Zone, and the £1B UK Semiconductor strategy.’
